What claiming does not change
DealerWho is an impartial reference. These stay the same for every dealership, claimed or not. How we verify listings
- Google ratings and reviews are shown live from Google on each visit. Nobody can edit, hide or respond to them here, including us.
- Your name, address, brands and license come from state licensing and manufacturer records. You can request a change, and we check it against those records.
- Your position in lists does not change because you claimed. Lists follow what the visitor asks for, such as distance or name.

Start your claimFeatured placement, explained plainly
A city page can show one dealership first in its list, labeled Featured. Our editors choose it. Featured placement is not for sale yet, and claiming your listing does not earn one.
We plan to offer paid Featured placement later. When we do, the same rules apply:
- It is always labeled Featured, on every page where it appears.
- A Featured dealership still follows the visitor’s filters. Pick another brand and it disappears like any other row.
- It never changes ratings, the verification seal, or the order of the rest of the list.
Questions dealers ask
Is claiming really free?
Yes. Claiming and managing your listing costs nothing, and there is no contract. Paid Featured placement, when it opens, will be a separate and optional choice.
Who can claim a dealership?
Anyone who works at the dealership or for it, such as an owner, a manager, or a marketing agency the dealership hires. Each person sends their own request.
What if I don’t have a work email at our website’s domain?
Submit the claim with the email you use. We confirm it by calling the dealership at the phone number on your listing and asking for you.
How long does approval take?
Most requests are reviewed within one business day. A work email at your listing’s website domain is the quickest to confirm; a request confirmed by phone takes a little longer.
Can I change our dealership’s name or address?
You can request it. Names, addresses and brands come from state licensing and manufacturer records, so we check the change against those records before it goes live.
Can I remove a bad review?
No. Ratings and reviews come live from Google and are never stored or edited by DealerWho. To respond to a review, use your Google Business Profile.
We have several stores. Can one claim cover them?
Yes. One group claim covers the stores listed for your group; stores added later join on request.
